This is an amazing children's historical fiction novel about the fabulous journey of the Globetrekker's Adventurers. In this first book of a series, to be published in mid to late 2010, the Adventurers, a group of four young students, set out to Peru, the former home of the Incas.
With the help of two teachers, the principal, and the magic of the Universe, the Adventurers imaginatively transport themselves back to the past, to the Andes mountains where they rediscover and unveil many of the important historical myths, events, and beliefs of the Inca Civilization.
During their journey, they meet important allies and friends that assist them in discovering and seeing first hand the realities of this culture (their customs, beliefs, and histories). The Adventurers first go to Lake Titicaca and meet the Creator Gods of the Incas. Then, they travel to Cuzco, the former Inca capital, where they are privy to all sorts of facts, fun, and adventure! Next, on to the Sacred Valley, where the Adventurers are treated to a terrain and avian view of this most divine of places! From there, a brief stop at the important outpost town of Ollantaytambo, until finally reaching the jewel of the Andes, Machu Picchu!
This journey yields incredible amounts of historical and anthropological knowledge to the Adventurers. But, more importantly, the Adventurers learn and assimilate a number of priceless life lessons, all while having the time of their life!
I invite all of you, from age eight to age two-hundred-and-eight to come enjoy the fun to be had in reading this incredible adventure to and throughout the Andes mountains, and to the time of the Incas!
